Our 2004 Fall semester accomplishments

UNI Tae Kwon-Do Club Black Belts, 16 years and older, are certified to officiate in National Competition.

The certifications, renewed annually, are earned when Black Belts complete specialized training and demonstrate their ability to be impartial while protecting competitors in a safe environment. Attendance at Promotional Testings, demonstrations, and seminars is required. 

August 23^rd -- Fall semester begins
The UNI Tae Kwon-Do Club begins its 35^th year on campus

September 18^th -- Regional Promotional Testing, San Antonio
San Antonio students have Testing in their new DoJang (gymnasium)

September 18^th -- Tournament, Omaha, Nebraska
31^st Annual Midwestern Invitational Tae Kwon-Do Championship
Hosted by Grand Master Suk Ki Shin, 9^th Dan
Three Black Belts from UNI serve as officials

October 9^th -- Tournament, Kansas City, Kansas
31^st Annual 2004 AKTA National Tae Kwon-Do Championships
Hosted by Grand Master Choon Lee, 9^th Dan
UNI and San Antonio Competitors earn 5 Gold, 6 Silver, and 9 Bronze Medals
Five Black Belts from UNI, and three Black Belts from San Antonio serve as officials

October 11^th -- Proclamation

October 14^th -- Proclamation
Receive Proclamation from Thomas Vilsack, Governor of Iowa

October 16^th -- 35^th Anniversary Promotional Testing, Cedar Falls
Master Grant Wubbena becomes a Candidate for 6^th Dan
We gain a 1^st and 3^rd Dan

October 30^th -- Tournament, St. Joseph, Missouri
29^th Annual Mid-America Tae Kwon-Do Championship
Hosted by Grand Master Chank K Yu, 8^th Dan
Master Joseph Philip administers the Competitors' Oath
Three Black Belts from UNI, and a Black Belt from San Antonio serve as officials

November 13^th -- 4^th Anniversary Regional Black Belt Promotional Testing, San Antonio
Jr. Master Daniel Marr becomes a Candidate for 5^th Dan
We gain four 1^st Dans, and two 2^nd Dans

December 4^th -- Promotional Testing, Cedar Falls
Master Bill Hundley becomes a 5^th Dan, we gain two 1^st Dans, and a 2^nd Dan

 

We finish the 2004 Fall semester with
492 Black Belt Degrees
