I have noticed some people are quick to associate Martial Arts with violence and fighting. The focus of Tae Kwon-Do training is to establish Discipline, Courtesy and Respect. Although Tae Kwon-Do does develop self defense, the ability to protect oneself from danger comes only after many years of practice.

The achievement of skill is measured by a student's dedication, sacrifice, devotion, and perseverance to the art.

The photos in our Gallery show students enjoying the many benefits associated with Tae Kwon-Do training; flexibility, strength, coordination, agility, and of course, discipline.

The philosophy or concept of board breaking dates back 2,000 years into Korea's rich and proud history. As we set goals in our everyday lives, we are often stalled and detoured by roadblocks and obstacles. A Tae Kwon-Do student must break down these barriers in order to reach their final objective. If an individual concentrates their full energy on an obstacle, while keeping focused on their goal, one will persevere.
