2005 Spring
semester accomplishments
UNI Tae Kwon-Do Club Black Belts, 16 years and older, are certified to officiate in National Competition.
The certifications, renewed annually, are earned when Black Belts complete specialized training and demonstrate their ability to be impartial while protecting competitors in a safe environment. Attendance at Promotional Testings, demonstrations, and seminars is required.

February 5th -- Promotional Testing, Cedar FallsFebruary 7th -- Self defense seminar as part of V-day
Basic self defense and information was presented to help participants prevent and end gender based violence.March 12th -- Regional Black Belt Promotional Testing, San Antonio
We gain three 1st Dans, including our 94th and 95th Junior Black BeltsApril 2nd -- Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure
Our 25 member Team raised $755.00April 8th -- UNI Relay for Life -- A Community Event to Fight Cancer
Our Team raised $1,760.00
April 16th -- Promotional Testing, Cedar Falls
We gain a 1st Dan, and three 2nd Dans
April 30th -- Tournament, Topeka, Kansas
2005 American Invitational Tae Kwon-Do Championship
Hosted by Grand Master Chae Sun Yi, 9th Dan
UNI and San Antonio Competitors earn 15 Gold, 19 Silver, and 24 Bronze Medals
12 Black Belts from UNI, and 11 Black Belts from San Antonio serve as officials
