Our 2005 Spring semester accomplishments

UNI Tae Kwon-Do Club Black Belts, 16 years and older, are certified to officiate in National Competition.

The certifications, renewed annually, are earned when Black Belts complete specialized training and demonstrate their ability to be impartial while protecting competitors in a safe environment. Attendance at Promotional Testings, demonstrations, and seminars is required. 

January 10^th -- Spring semester begins
The UNI Tae Kwon-Do Club continues its 35^th year on campus
Officers include Jr. Master Dylan Kline, 4^th Dan, Chief Instructor
Mr. Andrew Windschitl, 2^nd Dan, Club President
Mr. Marshall Cowell, 1^st Dan, Assistant Instructor and Program Director
Mr. Brandon Hass, 1^st Dan, Assistant Program Director

January 15^th -- Regional Promotional Testing, San Antonio
We gain two 1^st Dans, including our 93^rd Junior Black Belt

February 5^th -- Promotional Testing, Cedar Falls

February 7^th -- Self defense seminar as part of V-day
Basic self defense and information was presented to help participants prevent and end gender based violence.

March 12^th -- Regional Black Belt Promotional Testing, San Antonio
We gain three 1^st Dans, including our 94^th and 95^th Junior Black Belts

April 2^nd -- Komen San Antonio Race for the Cure
Our 25 member Team raised $755.00

April 8^th -- UNI Relay for Life -- A Community Event to Fight Cancer
Our Team raised $1,760.00

April 16^th -- Promotional Testing, Cedar Falls
We gain a 1^st Dan, and three 2^nd Dans

April 30^th -- Tournament, Topeka, Kansas
2005 American Invitational Tae Kwon-Do Championship
Hosted by Grand Master Chae Sun Yi, 9^th Dan
UNI and San Antonio Competitors earn 15 Gold, 19 Silver, and 24 Bronze Medals
12 Black Belts from UNI, and 11 Black Belts from San Antonio serve as officials
